Friendly local bank... unorthodox layout whereby the tellers are in a round circle when you walk in... wait times are normal to long (esp. at lunch time and after 4pm). What is not good is the rate 0.07% that they pay on saving accounts. Very low compared to others (FYI -- STCU up the street is 0.15%) Look, if it is just checking and a convenient bank then this is a great place.
We have done business with this bank for more than 10 years in several different situations: personal, mother, and an organization. No bank or business is 100% in all instances. They have served us well and I would use them before I would use a big national bank. They will go out of the way to help you with whatever it is that you need. It is very personal as the cashiers get to know you and are very friendly and know you by face when you come in and eventually by name.
Best bank I've ever used. I've been with them for 15 years and wouldn't dream of leaving. Great people and no fees. I get friends to open accounts so we both get the latest free thing they are touting. Love it!
I was looking to refinance my home in and was referred to Mountain west bank in Coeur d Alene Idaho I went to there office after two conversations on the phone. I felt that the loan officer was uninterested in helping me, she gave me two work ups of loan numbers, but she made me fell like i wasn't worth her time. after our meeting we agreed she would research different options and I have never heard back its been 2 weeks.
