Dr. Neil Harwani(DO) is absolutely one of the best doctors I have ever seen in 53 years. His attention to detail is amazing. His bedside manner is also amazing. I have a very complex medical history with ongoing complications. For me to explain everything in detail in the allocated time for a new patient is impossible. This is not feedback about medical staff, but about the surgery scheduling team. My wife had been on the calendar for over a month for a sensitive procedure last Thursday 9/25/25. When we arrived at 11am, as asked, we were informed that the insurance authorization was missing. We found out that this authorization request had been submitted merely a couple of days before and had not even been expedited. I called on the first Friday as instructed last month, waited for an hour this morning and was hung up on. When I tried to call back the message said they were full and to try again next month. Not sure how people are supposed to taken care of if they can’t speak to someone or make an appointment. Sad times.
Dr. Verrastro is absolutely wonderful! Both of my toddlers and I see her, and she is always so kind, patient, and attentive. She really takes the time to listen to any concerns I have and explains things clearly. My kids feel comfortable with her, which means so much to me as a parent. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and knowledgeable doctor!
I've been a patient at MAHEC for a long time. And I absolutely love Dr.Fagan. He is one of those rare doctors who actually listens to his patients. I would have given a five-star rating EXCEPT they have a new triage system now that I just cannot support. Instead I've been transferred directly to a nurse when needed, you are transferred to an answering service at all times of day and I told you will get a call back.
