I've been an independent contractor with Motor City for more than a year. I can honestly say I am more satisfied than unsatisfied. Every company has its qualities and flaws. I will shoot it straight here. The lease that I'm doing is expensive. It's 2k a week for the truck plus 200 a week for the trailer, and 100 in ifta and insurance. But here is a really good thing. *** update It’s been over 24 business days and haven’t received my escrow back. One star — and that’s generous. If you’re thinking about working here, don’t. This is a Balkan-run company operating under multiple fronts in the U.S., and they do whatever they can to screw over drivers — especially if you speak up or ask for fair treatment. They make you sign a contract that only benefits them, hold your escrow hostage (good luck ever seeing it), and hit you with fake deductions over the smallest things — or nothing at all.
