I would not trust this "bank" . Their systems are glitchy and their process is complex. It seems like a good deal at face value but I cancelled my account immediately after opening it because of the glitchy service.
it took less than 3 days to open and link my account, very impressed with customer service, very friendly and the waiting time less compare to other on line banks. The interest rate is very competitive. The only suggestion is to fix the app in order to do transfers.
Opened a Motive Account about 8 months ago off a tip from Rob Carrick in The Globe, and I've loved my experience so far. Super helpful staff who pick up the phone right away. No banking fees. Remarkably high interest rates for savings, and you can literally use your high interest savings account as your chequing if you want, as it has unlimited free transactions. And no ATM charges, ever! It's good stuff and I highly recommend.
My main issue is it’s difficult to connect external accounts for transfers, so I’ve been sending Interac transfers to myself instead. IThe app is not exactly user friendly. Face ID just leads me to the login screen, where I need to type my password. Other banks’ apps lead me straight to my accounts. P.S. EQ Bank has higher interest rates with better functionality.
Just want to record my appreciation for MF Edm staff (specifically Nancy and Ravleen) for the recent courteous and efficient service on telephone to get my banking issues resolve.....completely satisfactorily with the requisite follow up via email. Thanks ladies!
