I went to this desolate wasteland because someone told me it was a "beautiful place" to visit. I drove aimlessly for hours, off-roading in 4- wheel drive desperately searching for the "beautiful place ". I got out of my truck, and thisthis was the picture I took right before I fell head over heels down a rock covered cliff. I'm from Iowa- it's flat. Went looking for birds of prey, didn't see any birds. However, discovered that we had been there before in our travels and apparently didn't realize it till we got there. Cool view from the top rim.
DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU ARE A WOMAN! Amazing place. California quail everywhere, and the rivers are abundant with fish and wildlife. It’s a nice place. However, it’s only men there drinking, doing drugs, and partying. We had a truck of men circle by our site 3 times and slow down to watch us. One peed outside of our campsite within easy view. By the 4th time, they tried to turn into our site, and we booked it out of there. The nearest police station was 40 minutes away in Boise. If you’re a woman, just keep your eyes open.
