High prices, low quality and poor service. I purchased two pairs of prescription glasses, one of which was sunglasses and in addition one non Rx sunglasses. The cost for the two Rx glasses was $1162. The sunglasses never fit properly and had to be adjusted a few times by MF. Finally I had a fairly comfortable fit. A few weeks ago I brought them in for a tightening of the screws and to see if the temples could be adjusted as was promised when they were purchased. I've purchased five pairs of glasses here over seven years or so and had excellent service. I once tried sunglasses with an optical gradient for reading and brought them back to be replaced by bifocals. No questions and no charge. I've also had scratched lenses and other repairs. Not cheap, but then you pay for the optics which are superb.

All smiles--until something goes wrong. – Splurged for expensive horn frames at the West Broadway store. After a few months of very careful use one of the hinges broke. When I brought the glasses back a saleswoman said they'd have to be sent to Germany for repair, and it would take 6-8 weeks! She said the manager might consent to a "loaner frame" in the interim, but he was out and she couldn't say when he might return. I wish he'd never come back. Great customer service – After a disappointment at Leonards optics I found good advice and customer service in finding a frame for my new glasses. They took the time to consult onto which frame would fit me and which not, they came up with suggestions themselves. They adjusted my wife's and my glasses without fee. Kids were playing around without any problem.

HIGH END IMAGE LOW END SERVICE – A huge disappointment, spent $800 for prescription frames at Nassau County store, lenses attached to frames at some factory, terrible quality job in putting them together, actual lens shape different than what I and salesman agreed upon (mgr tells me lens shape altered/cut down to fit frame - I was NOT told this by salesman) , PLUS numerous defects like uneven attachment to bridge/nose piece.
