The woman working at Counter #5 is the most incompetent person I’ve come into contact with. I have come to this tax office a total of 4 times since November 2024, and for some reason I always seem to get her. She is extremely incompetent. I have purchased two vehicles, and brought in titles for transfer. Every time, she starts panicking and shakes, exclaiming, “I’m so afraid to make a mistake!” She also moves slow as molasses.
It seems as though the clerks at this location make a special effort to decline paperwork, and every single one of them tells you something different. Coming here to do a title change after buying a vehicle always is a challenge.It shouldn’t take multiple trips. I have a job that I have to keep taking time off to come back every single time. Just process my paperwork and take my money , I’m not asking for it for free.
Well it’s NOT Harris county and that's one of the reasons why I live here. The employees have always been friendly, helpful, and courteous. I feel the pain of bureaucracy her much less. The facility is new, clean, and it was uncrowded when I visited at lunch time.

This year no correspondence was received (electronic or mail) about the proposed property taxes. I had to go and look it up online. Property values are not comparable to properties in our vicinity. Comparing a subdivision home with the one across the road with acreage is nonsensical. When you actually have the opportunity to protest the value, they shut down all your research and still increase values. The most disappointing tax office I’ve dealt with.
