The worst bank, on the Peninsula, used to be great family owned Now it's a cold empty place where I don't know anyone.
Step inside and talk to the wonderful employees of Monterey County Bank, who go above-and-beyond for their customers. I left companies like WF and B of A to bank with caring locals that remember your name and maintain competitive offerings. My family has been customers for 20+ years and never encountered a problem they weren’t eager to fix and effective at solving. (Huge shout out to Alison Abernathy, especially, for her dedication and commitment to customer satisfaction.)
Will call the cops on you for filming on public sidewalks.
I’m partial to local banks and like to have a personal relationship with them. But - as nice as the folks in the Carmel branch are - they don’t seem very swift. It takes a long time to complete any kind of transaction in the bank. I hear a lot of “I don’t know” and “Call back tomorrow and I’ll have an answer”. They need an online app too. Again - they are Nice to customers and that counts!
