They made a mistake on my tax bill which they admitted to but still charged me an extra $171 in interest. "So can I get a refund". "Nope, too bad". Great system.
This isn’t normal. No one likes to deal with an office of this nature. To deal with them means that we owe money and that we receive letters on bright pieces of paper alerting us (and our postal delivery person) to our delinquency. I avoided those notices until I couldn’t any longer and I called the Monroe Country Treasury sobbing my eyes out.
