We moved our gift card program from Givex to Moneris based on the understanding that Moneris gift cards would work with our Shopify website. We were told this would be supported back in September 2025. Unfortunately, since making the switch, we have experienced ongoing issues getting the Moneris gift cards to work properly with Shopify. This company has no respect for businesses, they set up my account wrong and then charge me fees for accounts I never set up and removed the money from my business account with put me signing anything so first fraud charges no otherization to remove money. Also after starting a account July of 2026 and we started using it for master cards we noticed July 10 2026 that the funds were not going through to my business account. We have been a customer of Moneris for ten plus years and have had nothing but a great experience. Their customer support is fast, reliable and helpful when we need them and their pricing / invoicing is clear and concise with easily accessible monthly reports.

Horrible company. I would never recommend them, especially if you have a small business. They've already charged me twice for equipment I initially paid for. And getting to the bottom of it is practically impossible. They're either out of business, don't know what's going on, or can't find my payment. Finding out is simply impossible. You'll waste a ton of time and energy. Simply terrible service.
