Great store for knitters of all levels My wife and I were in Pacific Grove to see the Aquariam and ended up in the knit shop. It is a neat place to visit. They have a great selection of good quality yarns and tons of colors. They also had a lot of how do books that my wife said ranged from basic to expert. The owner was there (a very chatty lady) who really knew a lot about knitting. She helped two coustomers figure out how to correct problems with thier knitting while we were shopping. I had a great experience at Monarch knitting! My good friend and I walked to this knitting store from our work in Monterey during our lunch break. I had been talking about knitting a hat for my twins for ages. The staff were VERY helpful in finding a good starting yarn for my first real knitting project. They also gave me a pattern for free. When I had problems during the making of the hat I called them and they readily helped me finish off my first project. They were terrific! And what a fantastic selection of yarns!!!

sales services It has been few years since I used this store. I had a very disappointing experience few years back when the owner basicaly lied to me. Here is the story: I purchased some yellow mohair in the store, they did not have enough in stock . So I sked the owner if she would order me some that would color mach with what I purchased.
