I went for my first ever skin check after noticing some irritation on one of my beauty marks. Christie was wonderful - she asked me questions to confirm my base knowledge level and then shared lots of useful information in an easy to understand way. She thoroughly explained what to look for, when to get checked and what possible options were available to me depending on the results of the skin check. She was very knowledgeable, attentive and personable and I felt very well cared for. Highly recommend this practice.
This was my experience today. You don’t actually see a dermatologist. This is what a near $400 consultation gets you - My appointment was with a beauty therapist who has done some extra training in moles. She takes the photos then emails them to a dermatologist. They assess the photos virtually and if anything needs a further check you have to go to your GP for further investigations. If I’m paying $400 I want to see a dermatologist or a Dr who has done further study in dermatology, not a beauty therapist. Save yourself $400... read more
