They really went down hill after movie. It used to be the best punk rock bar in town, now its lost all its character and is no different then any other bar
It’s really almost like they do a round of interviews and when they come across the worst people, they hire them on the spot. Why do I feel like I’m being personally victimized by Regina George every time I come here? I haven’t come across a single person that works at Modern Love that doesn’t completely suck. I’m especially looking at you DJ on Saturday, July 18th 2026. Pretending people don’t exist when they try to make a song request is loser behavior. We hope you feel so cool after that.
Definitely one of the best bars in Calgary at the moment. Great club nights with fantastic DJs.
