He made a very nice piece for me about a year ago. I wanted a matching table so I ordered it back in January. I kept trying to check with him to see if it was done and I got several excuses, if I even was able to get a response at all. Once it was "my table saw broke". That was after he said it was almost finished and the varnish was drying. The next one several months later was that the glue on one of the table legs was bad. Ordered a custom piece in May. He has every excuse why it isn't finished. The day he was to deliver the piece (if it is even finished) he went to the hospital - or so he says. We will be escalating this to get our money back.

Ordered a Muddlocker waited 5 weeks only to pickup and it’s wrong color. Call owener about it and hangs up on my saying I picked that color. Now won’t giving my money back. Now won’t have it for the holidays. Never going back. Owner was rude.

I have purchased several pieces from Cal at Modern Farmhouse. He has even made custom book cases for me to match the first piece I purchased. He does great quality work and offers exceptional customer service. He is currently making a dining room table for me. I highly recommend him to everybody I know.
