I will absolutely not take my car to any other shop. Have been bringing my Toyotas in to them for over 14 years and have always been grateful for their excellent service. If the Model Garage suggests you need something done, do it.

The Model Garage has made a new customer for life! I was lucky enough to stumble across The Model Garage based on great Yelp reviews. I went by without an appointment bc my old Honda Ridgeline’s check engine light and two others suddenly came on, and she had some intermittent bouts of hesitation plus was making weird sounds in the year leading up to that point. Update 2025: Still wonderful! Model Garage is a Berkeley institution that I finally got to experience in all its glory this week. My Toyota ended its initial free maintenance period and my old mechanic has retired so I was comparing local shops to the dealership for my 30,000 mile service. Model Garage substantially beat the local dealer both in price as well as attitude and experience.
