It’s government housing located in the same complex as the hotel. I stayed there and unfortunately did not feel safe, as there appeared to be some suspicious and disruptive people living in the building. There were also incidents involving the police. I felt that management did not do enough to ensure the safety and wellbeing of hotel guests. The location is excellent. However, in my room the bathroom was tiny and literally right next to the bed. It was just me, so it was ok - but if it were two people staying there it would have awful to have the toilet only separated from the bed and shower by less than a meter, and behind a lightweight sliding door. There is almost no storage in the bathroom and it's very inconvenient - the towel rack is above the one tiny shelf so you can't really hang your towel, and the hair dryer and outlet is in a cabinet over the toilet.... read more
Very conveniently positioned hotel on tram line and walking distance from Southern Cross Station (a bit of a trek with a suitcase but manageable) We had requested early check in months ago as we had left home at 4am but wasn't available until I made this point, and they found a room but charged $30 extra to check in at 11am. I agreed as we were very weary. Room was spacious with a large bed and a neat kitchenette. Bathroom was very small and water went across floor making it very slippery at edge of shower. Great location. The room was spacious and had a balcony. Would have been an overall great stay if not for the toilet with all the weird angles it offered. Both the check-in and check-out staff were great and check out was extended to 11am without any fuss.
