The A-list Rock Docs at the MU Geology Dept are metamorphic miracle workers. I have two pet rocks, a 3 MYA old volcanic igneous stone (Julio Igneous) who has a distinguished pedigree of talented geode-Latin vocalists. I also have a less distinguished mutt feldspar named "Petey Pyrite." Graduated from Missouri Geology Department in 1989. I retired after29 years as a geologist. Education pertained directly to my employment and was sufficiently comprehensive to repeatedly amaze my superiors, The field camp is world class. The faculty are also world class and approachable.
Cool mineral displays and a great place to learn.
Geology Department offers great program for Cub Scouts each year. Faculty and students are very helpful and willing to teach the subjects they're passionate about.
