Just to be on the safe side, you should get your hearing checked. Dan is excellent, and you should listen to him. You might not like exactly what he says, but he will be honest with you about your hearing, and he will try to help with your problems. Stick with it, your hearing is worth it. It takes some practice, but you'll make it. Your attitude adjustment might take the longest
Don't delay in getting your hearing checked. I've trusted them for years, and the guy who is there is fabulous.
