In my experience, Judge Beal is cognizant and fair. It took me a minute to distinguish btwn sympathetic and empathetic. Judge Beal is definitely sympathetic. Empathetic is a personal. Sympathetic is the term. I appreciate her sympathetic judgement. Very fair and she expresses concern for the defendant.
