The happiest days of my life were spent with my dearest friends fishing the beautiful river Avon and staying at Minmore. Dear old Mr.Duff taking his evening stroll and watching the bats, the Canadian piper walking up the lane, the Jack Russell's sleeping on your bed!!! Such wonderful times! Drinking undiscovered South African wine and dining on hill fed lamb! Oh, the memories!

This was one of my favourite hotels with upwards of 15 visits over a 12 year period.||But as a guide to other TA users , who may try to book in , based on the positive reviews , I have to tell them that it has been closed since January 2009.||This is a great shame as the Janssen family who established the great reputation of the hotel have now moved away.

My husband and I stayed here with my parents in September 2005. It was, without a doubt, the highlight of our 2 week trip to Scotland. The food was out of this world. We all still talk about it! The setting is beautiful and the family that runs it treats you like a friend. We would go back in a flash.

Original home of the founder of Glen Livet Distillery, Minore is smack bang next to the distillery on the beautiful Glenlivet Estate.||||A beautiful but comfortable old house, it is a great location for fishing which can be done on the A'an or the Spey and walking. Lynne will provide you with a map of the estate.||||Our room was very comfortable and very nice with a bath rather than a shower (much better after a long walk or a long `fish').
