Miller Petting Zoo came to a community event we attended and did an awesome job creating a memorable experience! Unlike other mobile petting zoos, the staff did a fantastic job ensuring all the animals were clean and well cared for, and safety for the kids was clearly a top priority. They gave out plenty of food for the kids to feed the animals, which kept them thoroughly entertained the entire time. There was a great, diverse variety of animals to see and interact with. Throughout the whole time, a staff member was walking ... read more

I was up at the 3 Rivers fest and did have a lengthy conversation about how they keep the rabbit cool. Panting is always about how the animaks keep cool...I lived in AZ for years and couldn't figure out why all the birds have their mouths open because it's HOT. They do not know how to provide appropriate rabbit care. No informed veterinarian or rabbit husbandry professional would advocate for wetting a rabbit due to how their nervous system and temperature regulation works. At Channahon 3 River's Fest 2025, temperatures daily well exceeded 90 degrees and their rabbit was showing behavior associated with distress. It is a shame they don't take animal welfare more seriously.

Disgusted by the inhumane treatment of a Flemish giant rabbit they had at the Channahon Three Rivers Festival. Around 1-2pm, temperatures outside were 91 F and above. Rabbits naturally sleep at this time as they are crepuscular. This rabbit was laying over the water bowl breathing very fast. Rabbits are incredibly heat intolerant and this rabbit was clearly in distress let alone having to deal with being pet by festival attendees. The lack of concern by staff was disheartening, no one took action to attend to the needs of th... read more
