Everyone's been so kind to my mom, a transfer from Crown Point. Very clean building, great food, awesome therapy room, and the communication is perfect. If I have a question why her meds changed the gals always explain things to me her daughter and caregiver. The office ladies were so helpful in getting mom to Crown Point for post op checkup. I’m a Director of Social Services for a nursing home in Florida and I know just how hard it can be for people to adjust to rehab life regardless if short-term or long-term. My grandfather spent a good amount of time at Millers in Laporte recently and finally was able to discharge back home today! This is what he had to say, “The nurses are exceptional! Having first hand experience at this facility with a family member being a resident there, I would not take my dog there!! The nurses and Dr Kamron, the Dr for the facility, are VERY unprofessional and negligent. Shame on them!!! Their grade would be an F- I might add all of my family feel the same!!!
