I started out with Mary several years ago. She was great. However, over the last two years, the quality of her work has greatly diminished. She has not been returning phone calls, and emails, and making mistakes in returns. Hopefully, she can get back on track. In the meantime, I would recommend finding another accountant who is responsive and focussed.
RecommendedVery responsive. Seamless after a few tax seasons. Accounting is getting easier when you can just plug in the applicable numbers and spit out the results.
Their jobs would be a good place to start. I've been reaching out to Jeff, Mary's son, for two weeks to try and get an answer to why my business was dissolved by the state of Illinois. Turns out I didn't file a business report that I had no awareness of after asking Jeff what all there was I needed to file besides the documents he was filing.
Mary Miller is the best account in Crystal Lake. She is knowledgeable about tax law and very informative. Mary has been our accountant for 20 years and has always done such a wonderful job! I highly recommend her with any tax issues you may have.
