This guy is the real deal. Very knowledgeable and willing to share it. I came in looking for insight as to how to start a shop like this and left with more to think about than I had expected. A no nonsense, tell it like it is type of guy who takes the extra step to ensure he is selling you the right product for your project. I was in Wisconsin visiting family and friends as I now live in Alabama. Met some friends in Green Lake and we were Looping the Lake. I made it 14 miles and I got a nail in my rear tire. Called Mike’s and he told me that he could repair it. It took him about 15 minutes and I was back on the road! Thanks for the quick response to repair my tire. I would highly recommend stopping at Mike’s if you ever need anything for your bike.
Quality service! I took my son’s Trek Wahoo to Mike’s for wheel truing, hub adjustment, etc... Got the bike back better than new. The bike was purchased from a different shop in the Fox Valley and was never truly happy with the setup. After stopping in Mike’s shop a few times for other things, I decided to take the bike there for service. Glad I did. Would definitely recommend.
I've been working Mike on several different bikes for twenty plus years. He's a terrific individual, very knowledgeable about bikes (how they work, how to ride them, where to go, how to improve them, ...everything), and he is always looking for solutions. I live in Boston and ride heavily in the Berlin area for a week or two every summer and Mike makes sure there are no problems and that my bike is in top working order. I only wish that Mike's Shop were in New England!
Have been here at least 1/2 dozen times since moving to the area. The owner, Mike has always been pleasant, he gets to the point depending on your question. The facts about your bike and its problems may not be what you want to hear and thus you think he is RUDE from reading the review before mine. He isn't rude and just paints the picture about your bike problem. I got a bike for FREE. I stopped by and spent $60.00 for tires, peddles, mounting the tires, etc. on that Free bike.
