Absolutely reprehensible customer service. This is the first time I have been hung up on in my life. Similar to other reviews regarding this bank, my wire transfer was sent to this bank for another smaller bank. The wire was for a car payment, so it was a large amount of money, but it was immediately rejected by Midwest due to not having the smaller banks information (even though I had the car company's information. Ordered a 700$usd to pesos exchange through my bank they used MIB as the exchange bank and MIB lied about what the exchange rate really was… which resulted in a $100 usd difference… so they charged me 100$ usd fee for $700 dollars worth of pesos meaning I only got 600$ for my $700 … crooks! I understand a fee but to say the rate is different than what it actually is was wrong
Very friendly staff.
My local bank is contracted with MIB for international transfers as they don't have their own swift number; I called to inquire about the status of an incoming wire from Germany that had not been returned or forwarded for 3 weeks and neither the sending bank nor the receiving bank could help me with. The guy I got on the phone was extremely rude and unwilling to provide any assistance to anyone but a banker.
