Strange new policies or casual racial profiling? I've had a checking account since I was 16 and I've never been asked whether a deposit in my own account was a welfare check before. I come in to deposit a check (tuition reimbursement) from my college and was asked if it was a welfare check (it said on the check where it was from) and then get the third degree about what college I attend. Don't bank here. They'll incorrectly "deposit" your money in your account and then magically there will be a "Teller error" that empties your bank account.
