I had no idea this was an international company with international shipping. They shipped the umbrella but not the stand. Who has use for an umbrella without a stand. They don't answer the customer support phone number, and it goes to voicemail. I tried three times today. They have no e-mail for customer support. And, the company has no address on their website or e-mail contact info. Is this company fraudulent???
I received fantastic support from customer service in sending a replacement pole section which was damaged due to wind. I'm also super happy with the umbrella which we've had for 2 years. I highly recommend this company & their products.
Warning to all potential US customers that products are exported from Canada and ships from China, and a couple of weeks after you get your delivery, you will receive an invoice from the shipper (in my case, FedEx) that you owe an import duty tax. Unless the company has an arrangement with their shipper to cover the cost ahead of time, the buyer is considered the "importer". So much for free shipping. Terrible customer service! Stated free shipping. I received two FedEx bills for the shipping that I had to pay for. Midtown stated they would reimburse me. Despite me sending them proof of payment to FedEx they did not reimburse me and did not reply to my emails. It does not matter if a product is good or not when customer service is awful.
I ordered an umbrella on May 27th. I didn’t know the fabric was back ordered. It took numerous calls to get someone on the phone to explain that it was on back order. Call was July 1st. I was told by this employee if I picked a fabric in house it would go out in two days. Well, it’s now July 9th and no email, no notification. No one answers the phone and probably won’t respond to my voicemail because they haven’t in the past. They sent the base. What am I suppose to do with that?
