BUYER BEWARE - I rarely write reviews but I wish others had warned me. I needed a bench cushion made, met with Joel to select the fabric and get an estimate. He verified with the supplier that the fabric was in stock and he told me it would take 8-10 weeks to complete. He asked for 50% down but only accepted cash or checks so I came back back a second time to pay. He called two days later saying the cost of the fabric would be double because there was a minimum order amount and "he was not about to get stuck with the rest". ... read more

I had an antique chair that has been in my family for decades re-upholstered by Joel Talbert at Michael Talbert Upholstery. Joel was very professional and polite in each interaction we had regarding my chair. He was timely in his responses to my inquiries, as well as getting my chair back to me within the discussed time frame. He did a beautiful upholstery job that far exceeded my expectations.
