We engaged the services of Mr. Schumski at a time we lived in NJ and owned rental property in FL. Mr. Schumski filed our tax returns in 2020 and 2021 each time with deductions for passive landlords. Eventually the IRS caught up with us and sent us notifications advising such a deduction was not permitted as we made too much money.
