Don't use this man, he has extremely shady business practices. He took $1000 from my mother as a retainer fee, and drafted up a contract for her to file for bankruptcy - except he never filed it. That was months ago! She almost lost her home, and he has STILL not returned any of her calls. Our new attorney has already mentioned that he is ripping people off to pay for his alcoholic wife's legal costs. Apparently this is common knowledge? Sean Cydrus takes advantage of people in hard situations knowing that if they're fil... read more

FRAUD! We had consultation and paid $1000 retainer deposit. We were in a situation where we weren't sure if we would have to proceed with bankruptcy and promised our deposit back. LIE! It's been over 2 or 3 yrs and I have asked in email, and phone calls and a smart *** paralegal who wasn't employed there gave a poor excuse for not having to refund.

Business response:

I am sincerely sorry the client feels this way. The clients (Mr. and Mrs.) came to see the firm in 2014. They paid the firm $100.00 (not $1,000.00) for a retainer. Upon this retainer, the firm began to work on the case. A contract was signed agreeing that in the event they decided not to continue with the bankruptcy, the firm would collect the fees earned. Since 2014, our firm has corresponded with their mortgage company, typed all their debts, responded to phone calls and email and, according to the contract, the client owe... read more

I sat down with Sean and he explained the bankruptcy process. It was something I wasn't sure I needed. He said I could pay the $670.00 fee and if I don't need it I could just get a refund. I paid the fee the following week. His staff called me periodically over the next year, I had changed my mind and requested a refund. He refused, saying I've never been in his office before and he doesn't know who I am and he has no record of a payment. I had moved and lost my receipt and had no proof. But for a business to keep shtty reco... read more

Several years ago I met with Sean Cydrus regarding a bankruptcy I wasn't sure I needed. He said I could pay the fee and when I decide to proceed just call him. I paid the $670.00 the following week. But, after a year I decided to not go forward. I called and asked for a refund. The receptionist told me Sean said he needed it in writing. I sent him and email. I didn't hear anything so I went to the office and I was told that it has to be written and mailed. I did just that. Still nothing. I called and asked for Mr Cydrus he b... read more

I heard about The Law Office of M. Sean Cydrus through a radio ad on 104.9 The River. Sean made me feel better about the situation and was comfortable throughout the whole process. The consultation was free and for $100 he was able to start on my case and stop bill collecters from calling my phone. He charged a flat fee which was nice because I had alot of questions. Sean was able to work with me and always returned my calls.
