As soon as I walked in, I vaguely heard someone greeting customers and mentioning a promotion. I picked out a pair of sandals and asked if they were 50% off; the staff member—an older woman—responded with words and actions that were deeply disrespectful to me as a customer. It felt as though she wanted to kick me out of the store simply because I had misunderstood the discount details.
