Really disappointed, ive been given an engagement ring by my partner which was unfortunately too big for me so i went to my closest store which was gateway’s (25 min drive from my house) and im really upset with the service i was given and im left feeling disappointed. Was looking forward to get the pearl necklace but I eventually left after standing there for 10 mins being ignored by 2 of the staff as they were “busy” chitchatting with one customer. Whole store had only 2 people including me but obviously you need 2 staff to serve just 1 customer. Bad service.
I went into this store on Friday to purchase some earings for a secret santa gift. The guy who served me informed me that they had none in stock but that he was able to transfer some from another store and they would be delivered by Monday. I never received a txt on Monday as per advised so I went in to the store today (Tuesday) only to be told they had not arrived as promised. Ive dealt with other Michael Hill stores in the past, on and off for over 20 years now. I needed to get my wedding ring resized after breaking my hand so off i went to the nearest store to my work for me - Gateways. I was greeted by Chloe who, after i explained what i needed with my fairly unique ring was more than happy to spend the time to make sure they could resize it without compromising the design. Went in to Michael Hill yesterday Amy and Brooke were very helpful in inspecting my ring, getting it cleaned and assisting with with my other purchases I made. They were very friendly and inviting and answered all our questions with patience. Highly recommended these two lovely ladies if you are thinking of popping in to Michael Hill Cockburn Gateway during Christmas.
