Michael’s profile does give off a warm and healing vibe and that’s why I initially wanted to work with him. Then after a few months of me working with him - he told me that I was a “low level incompetent individual”. In addition to that, he would interrupt me by telling me that I am disassociating and why am I dissociating? He wouldn’t allow me to finish a sentence and a complete thought which is frustrating. After that I did choose to not go to my sessions as I felt I wasn’t being seen or heard.
Beware!!! This man was verbally abusive so I discontinued therapy. I just found out later he was still charging my insurance for 2 years after. If you have ever scheduled an appointment with Michael with insurance and stopped treatment CHECK YOUR INSURANCE
I have worked with Michael for many years and he has helped me understand myself on a level I could never imagine. I owe everything to him. If it wasn't for his assistance, I wouldn't be in such a great place with my wife. I have become in touch with my aggression and have now learned the proper 'language' of anger, meaning I know how to speak to my wife in a way where she can hear me, while still getting my feelings and points across. This person should not be practicing psychotherapy. Before our appointment he sent me 12 pages of intake forms. I completed them and sent them back to him within 24 hours of receipt. When he called for our appointment he asked if I had sent the forms. I assured him that I did and after looking at his email he was able to find them. He then asks if I could put them in pdf format , saying I could go to Staples to take care of that (?). I told him I was unable to go to Staples because I had recently had two major surgeries and ... read more
