This retreat center has a beautiful and serene location on a remote lake in Minnesota. It’s run by a few monks who are incredibly kind and helpful. I visited the center for a weekend retreat and left more grounded and mindful than when I came. Since leaving I’ve continued a morning meditation practice and taught mindfulness tips to my friends and family. I would highly recommend hosting a retreat here or attending one.

We had a wonderful time at our retreat. Such a quiet and peaceful place. Buddhist monk led our meditations, WOW! Huge kitchen with everything you possible need. I loved how many different birds lived in the area! Thank you for your hospitality.
Beautiful place for a retreat, set on a tranquil lake in nature surrounded by birds, great meditation and huge areas for gathering. Very spacious and lovely! Can't wait to come back!
This past weekend was my second time coming out here. The pelicans, variety of other birds and animals, the peace and serenity, and the wonderful lodging and friendly monks and staff are all very worth the 5+ hours it takes for me to travel from home to the Metta Meditation Center!
