My partner and I have stayed at Metta Earth twice. Both times were fantastic. Our first visit was particularly special as it included a wedding proposal nearby on the peak of Mount Abe in October of 2024. Our second visit was in the deep winter of 2026. We discovered Metta almost by accident. We've been back three times now and plan to go back more. It's a real break from the world and highly recommended. We've stayed in the yurt but my sisters stated in one of the apartments and they're all so great. the food is fantastic and Gillian and Russ are great. This place is so much more than a get away.
I took a course on ecological leadership here many summers (over a decade) ago, and the lessons I learned have stayed with me since. The experience shaped me in many ways, and I think of this magical place and its people as the best role models I've ever encountered for a peaceful, meaningful and sustainable lifestyle.

We spent a great weekend here. We loved the company of the owners. The food was excellent and the accompanying perfect.
