I suppose their services are good. Don't know, didn't get that far. When I contacted them about a FSBO sale of a house in Granger but that I lived in West Virginia, I was told they couldn't do anything or put me into their "system" until they got a check for the title search. So I sent the buyer (we're related so I trusted them) a check written out to Metropolitan Title for the cost of the title search. Shady...of course they don't tell you when you come in to update your Sim cars for a new phone that they charge $25 to hook up a new phone when u can do it online for free. Paid my bill and all of a sudden my service is shut off...found out they put the $ I paid for my bill towards that $25 fee and SAID NOTHING... s h a d y. Typical Metro.....but my god.....damn near criminal.
If I could give 0 stars I would have. The people that work there are unprofessional. Carrie, the lady that closed for us lied multiple times to us. Then after multiple phone calls, voicemails I got ahold of her. She just kept spinning me around. I got ahold of the recorders office and they had no response from the title company. I am very disappointed by my recent experience of closing on a home with Metropolitan in Edison Lakes Mishawaka. I am a seasoned home investor and typically my transactions go smoothly at a title company. However after signing papers during my scheduled closing time I walked away with no documentation, no expected reimbursement checks and no satisfaction of just “buying” a new investment property.
