I loved working with these guys from start to finish. I was worried it would be hard to find a NYC moving company willing to move me from Brooklyn upstate to Beacon. I also expected to be quoted some astronomical amount, but their flat fee is was great. I like the transparency of the flat fee because there isn't any little sneak add-ons. This is the second time we’ve used Metropolis for a move from Brooklyn to DC! Both times they were attentive, responsive, careful, and friendly. This time we used their packing services, and that was a game changer — the price was totally reasonable and they were very mindful of the fact that their rate was hourly (so they checked in on what our priorities were to ensure that we got what we needed). As usual, our move was fast and our things were handled carefully. We love Metropolis!
We had a complicated move with 2 drop-off points: we moved from a busy Brooklyn street (with scaffolding on our building!)(3rd floor apt) to the Hudson Valley. The guys moving us were friendly, accommodating and STRONG.. they worked together like a well-oiled machine and took great care of our belongings.
My husband and I have used MM a few times now. They’re very thorough, spend lots of time playing Tetris in the moving truck to make sure everything can fit, and they’re just cool dudes. Also the pricing is very fair. We will continue to hire them for future moves!
Great moving experience. Great team of help left nothing behind and helped on set up of new place.
