Worst bank ever! Went in the to get a minor account, they did a great job telling me to get lost and they do no appreciate my business. Went to Village Bank around the corner and opened an account.
There's no general listing for Metro Credit Union, so I am leaving this rating/review for my local branch. I started banking at Metro over a decade ago, after being referred by a family-member. Initially, it was very basic, and checking was free. I eventually added free business banking accounts and a "high-yield savings account" when they were offering a promotion. 1) At some point, they forcibly added "Membership Accounts" to all of my accounts. In these times of impersonal interactions over the internet or phone with robots or strangers, what a pleasure to walk into MCU and be treated as a human being! They are friendly and welcoming and recently helped me with a complex issue. They are also a local Massachusetts business. I am so pleased we left the big banks for Metro Credit Union. I'm extremely disappointed in the lack of basic knowledge of Metro credit Union that employees have. I wasted a half hour of time there this morning making me late for another appointment
