Landed at Aurora State for a Vans Aircraft tour and needed portable O2 bottle re-filled for trip home. There was NO ONE on the field with oxygen. Kelsey at Vans made a call to Mike at Metal Innovations. He couldn’t have been nicer. Then Conner promptly got me filled and on my way. I’d like to give a big shout out to METAL INNOVATIONS at KUAO in Aurora, Oregon. They are an authorized TBM facility and helped me out tremendously yesterday. Had a gear fault warning on a TBM 940 while in their neck of the woods late afternoon on a Friday. Jeff Hunter, Mike Bays, and their crew of techs jumped into action. Got on the phone with Daher, troubleshooting the issue, got the plane inside on jacks, and did a gear reset for us while we got dinner in town. They even gave us a shop truck to borrow.
