I strongly advise anyone considering Merritt to stay away!!! I applied for financing through them, submitted all final documents back on July 29, and even had the car registered and insured with the lender listed as lienholder. Since then, Merritt has been completely unresponsive — they stopped answering calls, texts, and emails as of August 1. I strongly advise anyone considering using Merritt for their financing needs to be very cautious. My husband and I are in the middle of a terrible experience with them. After he applied for financing, he submitted all the necessary documents on July 29th. We even had the car registered and insured with the lender listed as the lienholder. I strongly advise against using Merritt for car financing. After my friend submitted all the final documents for a loan, they went completely unresponsive on August 1st. Now he is paying for insurance on a car he can't drive, and his first loan payment is due, even though the dealer never got paid. It's a hugely stressful and costly mess. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere
