Stay away from this place. Patience strung me along last year for weeks, promised me pics and recordings of the noise and sounds of a unit opening up. She never did. She was supposed to come up and see my place and what I had, she failed. She went on vacation instead. When I called her on it, she played dumb deaf stupid and idiot, WITH LAME APOLOGIES. upon arrival at the Merriman on this past Saturday to visit my friend, my first impression was three staff. People hogging the front desk two were sitting on the desk. One behind the desk could not access the sign in book. The stench of the facility was offensive and very strong resident sitting in chairs all over the facility. We found our Dad in a wheelchair, isolated in a dark room alone, and confused because he had covid. WE had to call the ambulance. He was near death and no one called us. NO ONE CALLED. We thought he was dying and we couldn't see him. But, God gave us a miracle and they treated his Covid, and we could see him. They also told us his internal injuries could have been from the fall experienced recently. Which would explain his unwillingness to get out of bed. This place is very different than other nursing homes I've been and seen, it smells something awful, they don't even give you the same meds you were getting at the hospital now I'm right back in pain all the time! Some staff are good to me and others just rude. I've only been here 2 days and thinking about leaving already unless they start doing things the way they should be done.
