I'd give them ZERO stars if Google would've let me. You wont find a worse financial services company to deal w/ than Merrill Lynch. Every time I attempt to transfer money from my kid's 529 acct to pay their college tuition, the acct is blocked or ML's website mysteriously wont perform the transaction. When you call their customer support line, the representative has no answer as to why there is a problem. If I could give them zero stars, I would. The whole experience was very punishing, stressful, and disorganized. They waited until 4 months, after my Mother's death to even contact me about an inherited IRA. On my first call, the associate asked me so many personal and intrusive questions. Not even a therapist or doctor would ever ask such personal questions. They claimed it was because the Patriot Act requires it. Instead of letting me work with a local advisor, I was forced to use the advisor who had been working on my Mom'... read more
