I am a local realtor assisted my 93 & 90 years old senior couple clients sold their property in Rowland Hts., also helped them to preview/visited more than 10 Assisted Senior centers in Southern California closed to Rowland Heights area. Finally we found an amazing senior community - “Merrill Garden's West Covina community” with a professional & friendly team. My mom moved in June 2022. She had a flood in her home and was convinced she’d be going back. Well, four months later, she decided to stay at Merrill Gardens. She said there’s lots of activities, and the food is excellent. She has made friends there, and enjoys having people to talk to. I visited several times and the staff are all nice but not intrusive. I am super excited to write this review on such an exceptional senior living facility as Merrill Gardens located in West Covina. I have been blessed help advocate for a 91 year old Marine veteran who was my mentor 40 years ago. When he decided to move from Alabama to Southern California, I helped take him around to visit and consider several senior living facilities. Merrill Gardens is a great community for a loved one. I have been in the senior care business for a number of years and decided to place my mother there when it was time. The staff treats my mom extremely well with dignity and respect. Because of her memory loss my mom needs prompting to go to meals and activities. After being there for a few months, I knew that I made the right decision. Every body knows my mom by name and she now knows that Merrill Gardens West Covina is her home.
