Just went through three months of repeatedly being misled by two different loan managers regarding rates and options for my mortgage renewal at the centre mall branch in Hamilton. Run, don't walk away from this credit union.
On December 27, the maturity date of my USD GIC, we visited your branch with a simple request: to deposit additional funds into my USD GIC (my only account with Meridian) and renew it for another 180 days. Instead of processing the request, the teller immediately asked whether I wanted to exchange USD to CAD. She then took my cheque, cash without counting and went to consult Mr. Kyle for instructions. Made the mistake of going here. First mortgage application they forgot and it took a month to reply. They apologized and said we’ll review and call you back in a couple days. Were on week 3. No call. Go anywhere else. They apparently don’t want your business. Worst bank on the planet. Just a quick update. Because of Meridians ineptness my wife and qualified for a half million mortgage with on of their competitors. Thanks Meridian.
