I've banked at Meridian for 15+ years and I've had a variety of experiences over that timeframe. Interestingly Welland and Port Colborne Meridian banks are frequent to lock the doors during scheduled business hours and want to observe who it is before opening the door. This is certainly a measure of increased security and it's appreciated to have excellent security in all areas of the banking system. I banked with Meridian for years (almost 20) but last year when I went to meet with Andrea, she was very standoff-ish and didn't make me feel comfortable asking questions about further services. Everything I brought up was shut down by her and her answers weren't helpful. This (lack of) customer service turned me off and I decided to go to another bank that didn't charge monthly fees and am much happier there. I learned more about loans and lines of credit from Google than from the professional staff member.
