Recently my brother passed away. Now dealing with his estate, his main bank was Collingwood Meridian. I had the pleasure of dealing with Kelly. She was 100% and beyond of “ helpful “. Thank goodness she was able to help me. Definitely would give a 10 star if I could. Unlike Scotia Bank Wasaga Beach, where he only had an LOC and a credit card. I have had a horrible experience with the business manager that used to be associated with the Collingwood branch, and yesterday a near-catastrophic mistake made by a teller which drained my bank account to pay someone else's CRA bill! I will be calling the branch, and I will likely be changing institutions as these folks, while friendly, are incompetent.
As of Nov.1.2024 this branch will no longer allow access to their 24 hour ATM. (Added photo) Mon-Wed: 9-5 Thur- 9-6 Fri 9-5 Sat- 930-3 Sunday- CLOSED Absolutely ridiculous! Most of us locals work out side of “bankers” hours and will not have easy access to cash. I go out of my way to ensure I use my own bank so I don’t have to pay outrageous ATM costs and extra bank costs to get cash. I asked the teller why this is happening. Meridian is a horrible bank to deal with .. their policies on anything from withdrawing money in person to ordering currency is out of date and out of touch. Their Collingwood representatives decide they do not have to speak to you if you say nothing wrong but they do not like your “tone” of voice. I will be cancelling my meridian account and banking else where. Baffling service from the collingwood branch representatives.
