If I could leave -5 stars I would. We hired Shanthiny to file my elderly grandparents’ taxes in May. They rely on OAS and GAINS to pay for nursing home and palliative care costs. She failed to file their taxes properly, resulting in their OAS being cut and GAINS being stopped entirely. When confronted, she was dismissive, unprofessional, and refused accountability. I had an awful experience with Mercury taxes by the owner shanti herself . I had come in with my younger sister to file her taxes and open a bussiness account we had given her over 3 weeks to file the taxes and to come for a second meet . Today as we arrived she had nothing done and blamed us for lying and tried to take advantage of my younger sister by over charging her and asking me to leave . She yelled at us as we asked for a refund and to go else where as her worth ethic is awful and disappointing .
