Visiting our good friend we found the people very friendly and helpful. The rooms and hallways clean.
This is my second go around here in the last year as I have a family at the facility. I’m better prepared for this experience than I was last year. The first week I’ve been happy with the experience from Dolores in administration (and her staff) to the day shift nurse Shantel on 4soutb to Arlene (and her staff) in rehabilitation, Yuliya from speech who lent encouragement and of course Dr. Vitalli who calls whenever a test or medicine change is required. Daniel the P/T Coordinator is a Total Schmuck. He tried to have me stay long term as a patient.
If you plan on wanting to know about your family member don’t send them here. There was no communication on their end what so ever. I had called the social worker to discuss and there voicemail said i would except a call back in 48 hours .. never received a call back. Called back again a few days later still no response. We had a very bad experience with OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT JOSEPHINE RIOS. At 3 p.m. she came to take my relative to the 4th floor for therapy. He is an an 85 year old man in severe pain from spinal gout. When she realized the nurse's aide didn't have him ready and in a wheelchair she became extremely loud and unprofessional, verbally abusing the patient and me. Her behavior was totally inappropriate.
