Lodge was not very clean on arrival several features either didn't work or didn't work properly hot tub was cold and jets worked intermittently we were there during heavy rain and the gutter on the lodge was blocked solid which meant we had to listen to water pouring down against the static all night on site shop everything was overpriced myself and my son joined my parents on holiday and for the cost we were disappointed with the accommodation. We read a review after already booking our stay at mendip lodges, from a lady called Jodie and due to her comments, we nearly didn't come. It was booked for my 50th birthday and we wanted to take our pooch. As she said, the lodges are statics. But unlike her description they are very clean and nicely kept. The bedrooms are small, but no smaller than any other static. It has lovely decking with the tub lowered in. The hot tub is hot 24/7 🔥 we have a hot tub at home and the temp is the same. We had a lovely mid-week break here, choosing the Ivy lodge (Lodge 1) on our booking. Parking ouside, enough room for 2 cars. The lodge was super lovely, spacious, airy, modern and overall clean, just a few marks on the carpets. It had everything we needed, TV, DVD player, toaster, kettle, microwave, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher and even a utility room where a washing machine, iron/ironing board was stored. We’ve just come back from a trip away to Mendip View. We stayed in lodge 9, there are 10 in total. The lodge had a lovely view looking over the mendip hills in the distance and a spacious decking area with seating. The hot tub was nice however the jets weren’t that powerful. Now for the not so good things. If like us you booked a pet lodge as it was the only one left thinking it wouldn’t be too bad, think again.
