The therapy staff here are great. However, that is entirely overshadowed by their billing department, which failed to authorize my insurance and saddled me with thousands of dollars in bills 7 months after my summer visits, just in time for my deductible to expire. Meanwhile, the Memorial Hermann finance department will hound you like a loan shark while refusing to address your complaint.
I would strongly advise going to a different clinic if you have a serious injury that requires extensive and complex rehabilitation. The Therapist I was assigned to have become accustomed to doing the bare minimum, which causes negligence and incompetence. I attribute this behavior and this level of medical care to the lack of consequences. The Therapist have no incentive to administer the best possible care, because Memorial Herman will send them endless patients. I love coming to Memorial Hermann Shepard Square. My therapist’s are THE best! Amanda and Lauren have taken me from zero to hero! But before entering for my session, I have the most AMAZING encounter with Archie at the front desk. He ensures that I complete my check in every time and will not let me leave without it being done lol the place feels like family. I really appreciate the staff here, from the front desk to the physicians helping me with my PT. They are all very supportive, encouraging and a pleasure to work with.
Currently 7 months post op from a meniscus repair surgery and I started here at 2 months post op. I love this place! Transitioning PTs was scary because I started out somewhere else but in so glad I came here because michelle and Shelby , my pts, are amazing. As someone who’s very athletic I’ve seen so much progress so far and I can’t wait to get back to where I was. Everyone at the institute is fun and chill especially Archie and Shekita :)
